Lots of campers like to keep a journal of their camping trips and have for years. Often, you’ll see them pull the journal out as they sit around the campfire with friends. They can refer back to an event from years past and read the notes they made about what they did and who was with them.

Camping is easy to write about. You just need to have something with you that will hold up if you write on it while you’re camping. For instance, if you get a notebook you may want to keep it in a bag so if it rains or gets wet somehow, it’s not ruined. They make good camping journals, but most of them are paper and need to be kept safe. Try to find what will work in your situation, and don’t forget to get something to write with that can be out in the elements with you.
The real benefit of a camping journal is that it captures those moments that we may forget over time. Over the years there will be people you’ve met, places you’ve seen, and funny things that have happened during your camping trips that deserve to be recorded for future reference. You can even make little drawings or tuck photos inside the journal as well. Customize it to your taste and writing style. It is an extension of your personality.
We hope all your camping experiences are worth noting and that we see you here in the campground this summer.
